Creating a Migration

Migration Wizard

The migration wizard guides you through five steps to configure your migration.

Step 1: Platforms

Select your source platform and destination platform, then choose the corresponding connections. For same-platform migrations (M365→M365, Google→Google), both connections must be different tenants.

Step 2: Data Types

Select which data types to migrate: email, calendar, contacts, files, tasks, notes, groups, shared mailboxes, shared calendars, shared drives, chat, and mailbox rules. For each data type, you can configure options like file version history, shared mailbox strategy, public folder handling, and hyperlink correction.

Step 3: Configuration

  • Duplicate prevention: Enable/disable two-tier dedup (enabled by default)
  • Delta sync: Configure post-migration sync (interval, cutover mode)
  • OU placement: Upload CSV with target_ou column or configure OU mappings
  • On-prem agent: Select agent if using on-prem execution

Step 4: Resources

Select which resources to migrate using CSV upload, auto-discover, or discovery scan results. Supported resource types: users, groups, shared mailboxes, shared calendars, and shared drives.

Step 5: Review and Start

Review all configuration, check the AI pre-migration analysis for warnings and recommendations, then click Start Migration.

Monitoring Progress

After starting, you're taken to the migration detail page with an overall progress bar, per-user item completion, real-time stats (items completed, failed, skipped, data transferred), and live WebSocket updates — no page refresh needed.

Job Controls

  • Pause — Temporarily stop migration (resume later from checkpoint)
  • Resume — Continue from where you left off
  • Cancel — Stop migration permanently
